Francesco Tristano

As you can tell from his surname and dark curls, Mr Tristano has Italian roots; yet, his blue eyes and passport are from Northern Europe. Francesco is of Luxembourg nationality, even though he has lived in the much warmer and more festive Barcelona for some time. After having studied at the conservatories of Brussels, Luxembourg, Paris and Riga, Tristano graduated from the highly prestigious Juilliard School of New York. Then, he signed a contract with Deutsche Grammophon, one of the top classical music record labels, and developed projects including music by Bach, Cage, Stravinskij and Ravel. His interest for electronic music and collaboration with some of the most representative Djs of the current scene have brought him straight to the best clubs and worldwide festivals line-ups. That’s not bad at all for an artist who could define himself as a veteran of the classical music scene as well as an electronic music one, even though he is legally only 35 years old.
